When building electrical enclosures or any kind of metal box, aluminum is a great metal to use. Not only is it strong and light, it is also corrosion resistant.
One of NJ Sullivan’s biggest selling products is an aluminum box.

BG & E utility company CT Cabinets are all built from 10 gauge aluminum alloy 5052 conforming with ASTM B-209. This is a tough long lasting aluminum box. The BG&E CT cabinets are also constructed in accordance with UL bulletin #50 and NEMA 3R specifications using using BGE drawing #3PH3000.

Double doors are provided with lift off hinges and louvers. Wire mesh screen is included behind louvers to keep wild life out. For security reasons a 3-point latching mechanism is supplied with a pad-lockable handle. For mounting, the ct cabinets have bossed mounting holes to stand-off from a wall and interior mounting strut for strength and stability.

The BG&E CT cabinet is a beautiful, long lasting aluminum box. But that is not the only aluminum box NJ Sullivan makes.
